Buying cheap plastic lunch boxes (lasted 2 days)

Bought crisps in bulk (just ate more)

bought a slow cooker (never used it)

@iceandfireagain My husband or myself trying to do any sort of DIY! That always ends up being an expensive mistake

Snap! We don't even attempt DIY anymore. Too many bad stories that end up costing more to put right.

Oh and cheap paint. Gave up after 3 coats on the walls and went back to a more expensive brand.

Bought new slats for vertical blinds. When I took off the old slats all the hangers broke. Ended up having to buy a new blind.

@Orangesandlemons77 Heated throws are awesome.

Cheap cat food, bloody fussy gits wouldn't eat it. I even tried mixing some whiskas biscuits in with the cheap ones.... they just flicked all the cheap ones out onto the floor and ate the whiskas.

Cheap toilet roll, need to use more and leaves loads of dust in the bathroom. And I hate rough loo roll, Andrex only in this house!

On the cooking from scratch, for us it's cheaper as I'm gluten and dairy free so better to know what's in everything I'm eating as the free from alternatives are expensive! We love the slow cooker and rice cooker, both are used at least 3 times a week. We eat alot of stews/dahls/chillis/curries as dd is vegetarian too. Our food is about £200 per month for me and 2 teen dds. I did try gousto but found the recipes quite complicated and some weren't great, certainly not worth the money so didn't continue after the freebie box!

Tried different cat biscuits with him, he likes a few on wet food, old cat fine on dried and no litter tray, he insists.
bought cheap pasta sauce and thin loo roll, never again.
oh and I like my heated airer😊

Heated throw has been an absolute godsend. And I sit on a wheeled office chair, it's really not difficult!

Ours was probably trying to grow veg. The set up cost and effort was not worth it at all.

I suspect you are better at sitting still than I am. I didn’t realise how much I moved about until I had to worry about running over the throw.

I'm also tall with long legs, so mine doesn't really drape all over the floor. It's only the cable I have to dodge!
