Where is the best place to sell jewellery? Diamond earrings etc?? The pawn shop? or is there jewellery shops that would buy them? Just looking to get a bit of money so the xmas period isn't so hard right now.

i live in East London

Depends on what you have. Unless the stones are exceptional, I am sorry but you will not be offered alot. Jewellery rarely holds its value, especially if you have paid retail in the first place.
Can be quite a shocking experience taking your precious items around to be offered less than £100 or nothing at all or the basic metal price.

If the jewelry is average or named things like Tiffany items you may do better with eBay or local auction house.

Do consider putting it into auction yourself, unless it's literally junk to be melted. I sold some scrap to the local dealer & wasn't unhappy with the price but I had a bad shock. Another day, months later, I went with a friend to the auction house to watch her violin being sold and low & behold my ring was also auctioned that day! I thought I was never going to see it again. The ring sold for £90 (it was 1960s & very broken). If I'd have known I'd have auctioned it myself to get those few extra pounds. It had no name, just cheap high street stuff. So anything I sell in future I shall try & flog myself first.
