For a 3 bed home?

We have been living in a very small 2 bed bungalow on a metre for 6 months and moving next week into a newish (20 yr) build mid terrace. 3 bedrooms. We are 2 adults, a child and a baby.

About £220 in a three bed semi.

Yesterday during the cold snap it did cost over £10 in gas to heat the house to 17 degrees.

Bananacaramel8 · 11/12/2022 17:29

Around £220 for a small 3 bed semi. It was half that before all the prices went up

Squirrelgate · 11/12/2022 17:31

About £250/ month

Juststopit · 11/12/2022 17:31

£220 in a mid terrace 3 bed new build. I have the heating on for 3 hours a day currently and there are 3 adults living here.

Boomboom22 · 11/12/2022 17:32

220 electric and 120 gas which is double, but it's an old cottage albeit extended, original walls single skin, protected single glazed windows etc. And I think we will use it too although def already had credit when they doubled it!

tigerbear · 11/12/2022 17:33

We’ve just gone up from £158 a month to £308! 😱

WondrousWinger · 11/12/2022 17:37

£250 a month...£135 electric and £115 gas.

However...coming into November I was £400 in credit for gas. We spent £140 in Gas in November and I expect that to double this month with the recent cold snap...we're spending £8 odd a day at times this past week.

I expect all my credit to be gone by the end of Jan and probably have to up my DD to £300-£350 a month overall.

Anonymia · 11/12/2022 17:46

Around £45 per month for gas & elec.

amylou8 · 11/12/2022 17:46

£140 a month combined for a 3 bed house, but only 2 of us here at the moment. Heating on for 3 hours a day. Very frugal with everything else.

FinalPushh · 11/12/2022 17:51

£220 a month combined for a 3 bed terrace. This last week we have had the heating on a lot and the smart meter shows it's been £8 or £9 per day for both.

HewasH20 · 11/12/2022 17:53

We lost our fixed rate in Sept when we were previously paying £100 pm. Our smart meter says that November cost £228. December will be grim as our meter has been showing £13 to £15 per day for the last couple of days. That's with 3 adults, the oven and the washing machine on. We use less during the week.

CeeJay81 · 11/12/2022 18:02

£180, we are fairly low users. Usage this month will be more like £250 with this weather. Not worried though as there's the £67 payment taken off it too.

newtb · 11/12/2022 18:06

2 bed 173€/month on dd, but using much less. Electric radiators have packed up and waiting for response from landlord who's too tight to pay an agent to manage things.

popcornfrenzy · 11/12/2022 18:44

I fixed in May for a year thank god. Currently paying £120 for semi detached 3 bedroom for both gas & electric. With the government thing of £67 has helped enormously

Spectre8 · 11/12/2022 18:54

3bed house and its just me,£150 per month

Curlygirl06 · 11/12/2022 19:05

£200 per month dual fuel, 3 bed well insulated house, 2 adults here. Heating on in the evening for about 2 hours, hot water on during the day for about 3 hours total, gas cooker, usual electric stuff.

AlmostAJillSandwich · 11/12/2022 23:49

My DD for Dec 1st was £80 electric, £10 gas.
Thanks to the warm home discount, next month will be £70 elec, £10 gas for 2 adults in a 2 1/2 bed mid victorian terrace, both home all day as one disabled, one carer.
