Is this just me (I presume not, as I have no idea why I'd get this as targeted advertising) or everyone?

I understand MN advertising certain links elsewhere, but on the COL board this looks a little... indefensible? Uncomfortable? Unfortunate? (can't find the right word...)

Oh come on, it's not tone deaf, it's advertising. What do you want them to advertise hair shirts and gruel? Not everyone is skint.

It's just advertising. Disney World exists whether you can afford it or not.

I think you are being a tad sensitive here. I have seen adverts for products and services outwith my reach since I started watching TV in the 1980s.

I think if it were adverts in general I wouldn't even notice, it's that it's specifically mn-promoted. I also think I'd notice less if it were one - it's that there were three similar posts that made me think it was a bit off

Yes I probably am being over sensitive though!

I use the App so don't have this view - but yes it seems bizarre to be promoting expensive holidays on the cost of living board .
