Trying to put together a leaflet of support services available to be handed out at a cost of living event where people can come and take donated clothes and toys to give as presents this year. Have some local information but looking for some national suggestions websites/phone numbers etc like help with debt management, how to check benefit entitlements, food banks etc. Anything that might help people save money or access services they might not have known existed.

The Help through Hardship helpline 0808 208 2138 you can call and speak to an adviser they offer advice on benefits and support that you may be eligible for and can do food bank referrals.

Moneysaving Expert has everything you need. They used to have a 'cost of living' link at the top of the home page, but they seem to have changed it to an 'energy help' link www.moneysavingexpert.com/energy/

The debt and benefits signposting is in the budgeting section (because you can't really advise on what help a person needs until you have a full picture of their incomings and outgoings) www.moneysavingexpert.com/budgeting-debt-help/.

Maybe just link to the main home page and put a note advising people to look for help on energy, budgeting or debt advice. As well as the MSE content, there's also a very active forum.
