If you are with BT for your broadband, how much are you paying per month?

I WFH so need fast, reliable, broadband. We are currently with BT and pay just under £40/month. This is just for broadband and a landline that we don't even use. We don't have BT for our mobile phones, we don't have BT sport, or anything else.

If you are with BT, how much do you pay and what package do you have? Surely we are paying too much for what we are getting?

We got a deal when we moved into our new house.
FF900 with BT TV, landline (with inclusive minutes) and two Wi-Fi extenders (not needed).
£29.99 / month.

Don't know what it will cost when the offer expires but I will downgrade the speed (pointless paying for 900mb when we don't need anything like it), drop the BT Sport (never watched) and probably the landline.
Plusnet are meant to be very good, will probably investigate them unless BT go out of their way to keep us.

We pay £22.82 per month for Fibre 1 and landline. I think it was a 2 year contract and runs out in December this year.

Previously it was up to £60+ per month but I phoned to cancel and they drastically cut my monthly bill.

Panauchocolat25 · 17/10/2022 16:13

£33 a month for fibre broadband

bigbluebus · 17/10/2022 16:31

We pay £53pm for anytime calls plus 1571 and caller display and Halo 1 - which gives us good speeds.
The contract has just ended and they offered us 2 packages at £73 or £80 with Halo 3. Needless to say we didn't take them up on it.
The bu**ers also remove our £5 discount on my DS's mobile phone contract which they'd said we'd only lose if we cancelled BT broadband (which we haven't). Took 1 1/2 hrs on the phone one evening just to get someone to sort that out and refund the 4 months they'd overcharged us before I noticed (DH gets the bill notification email 🙄)

£42 pm for business broadband and a VOIP landline (free basically). Rarely have any issues with broadband speed.

£28 a month for Fibre 2 which includes landline but no call allowance, 2 year contract. But after getting a terrible renewal price i had signed up to another provider. Before the transfer took place BT called and only then offered the current price.

I was paying £46 for 56mb with complete WI Fi once my contract expired like many by the sound of it I neglected renewal. Just signed up to a new contract for Fibre500 with complete WI Fi for £35.99. To be honest I don't need 500mb Internet speed but complete wi fi is v beneficial for me due WFH.

Either £36 or £38 a month. Recently moved home and set it up in new home too and as I WFH I find BT internet is very reliable I havent had an issue in years with them

For that get BT TV with Netflix and Now subscription plus recordable tv box with loads of channels and Fibre broadband
The package alone saved me on my Netflix and also Now which was coming to the end of its cheap deal. One monthly bill for all that.

Just a word of advice too OP that if you have fibre you dont need a landline so it saves a line rental fee. I have a free digital phone with mine but its at the back of the cupboard never been used (they charge per call)

BT customer care is so much better than years ago. I had a query filled in an online form and someone called me back within 30 mins

Moominsweetie · 17/10/2022 22:29

Just renewed and got 150 downloads halo for 34 a month

was happy with my previous 74 speed but they upgraded me and dropped the price by a couple of £ a month . I do think they’re so good as a provider

Shwighty1 · 18/10/2022 07:34

We get terrible intermittent supply from sky broadband I’m desperate to get back to BT. We’ve already had a new router, I’m going to get them out again soon then call it a day as it just drops off all the time

DreamingOfSoftWhiteSand · 18/10/2022 13:38

Well it seems I won't be able to get much better - not happy!

£32, I don't know the speed. But it's very good, 2 of us work from home and very rare low speed or cut out.

Emmelina · 18/10/2022 13:49

Around £55 with BT. Full fibre. Expensive but worth it with one sometimes two adults WFH every day and 3 kids with internet addictions! ;)

Spanglybangles · 18/10/2022 17:57

I’m mortified to say I’ve just checked and we are paying £118 for Halo broadband, landline with unlimited calls package (that we don’t use), BT sport on 2 TVs and DD’s sim only mobile contract.

On the back of this thread just called them to haggle down the insane price, got offered a reduction of £17 by dropping the unlimited calls, then an offer of adding BT tv with sports package with now tv entertainment and premium Netflix bringing up to £118 again.

Didn’t go ahead as have no idea if BT tv is any good because we have been with sky tv forever. Really tempted to shift everything to Sky as they are loads cheaper. Reluctant because bt broadband has been faultless. So no further ahead😫

creamcheeseandlox · 18/10/2022 18:02

43.99 for fibre broadband, BT TV including Netflix and sky entertainment package on now TV.

creamcheeseandlox · 18/10/2022 18:04

Not landline though.
