Should I give a meter reading on 30th September like what was suggested in April when prices went up?

Yes. It would probably be a good idea to do that as prices will rise in October

dementedpixie · 24/09/2022 11:41

I normally give a reading at the end of the month anyway

Fcuk38 · 24/09/2022 11:45

If your on a smart meter you don’t need to but if your not you should submit your monthly readings every month anyway.

Yes unless you have a smart meter

Cosmicdreams · 24/09/2022 11:54

Thanks I normally give a reading near end of month but not specifically the last day. But I shall definitely this month late afternoon on 30th.

No, it caused chaos last time and there's really no need.

Just take a meter reading and check it against your bill when it arrives.

If their estimate is so bad that the amount you've lost is worth calling them about, you can do so.

Chances are it'll be right within a quid or two either way and you'll decide it's not worth the bother.
