My son is on high rate pip, will he qualify for this? Excuse my ignorance but we haven't received any notification for it, so I'm not sure. Thanks.

piegone · 21/09/2022 14:31

Some have revived it today. It's a separate payment to the DLA/PIP.

@thunderonlyhappenswhenits

If your son got DLA in May you could get the £150. The qualifying date I cannot remember exactly but if his award dates back further than May you should get it.

piegone · 21/09/2022 14:31

@Anniecott

It's depends if he got PIP on the qualifying date back in May. Nobody is getting notified at an individual level.

Anniecott · 21/09/2022 14:38

@piegone thanks, yes he's been on it for a couple for a yrs, actually in the middle of waiting to find out if it's been renewed buts that's a whole other thread 😩

Yes he's been receiving it since 2019 so we shall see !
Thanks

My PIP is due next Thursday and I've not received anything yet...

I don't think the day you get your PIP payment has anything to do with it though; it'll turn up as a separate payment whenever it finally goes through.
I've seen people on Twitter complaining that they're relying on this; it's a shame there's no solid date,

The qualifying date was May 25th.

Not got mine yet even though I got PIP yesterday. With the other CoL payment, it was paid the same day (but paid seperately) as my ESA.

scrufffy · 23/09/2022 07:47

I haven't had mine yet either. I'm getting worried.

dampgreg · 23/09/2022 07:56

I haven't yet and I don't know anyone else who has. The DWP aren't known for their speed though.

Sodie · 23/09/2022 07:57

I haven't received mine yet. I get dla for my son with asd and dla for my daughter with severe ME and ptsd. Would we receive two payments does anyone know?

unicornwonders · 23/09/2022 07:57

the dwp admitted delays and stated most payments will be next week and are still on track for being done by start of october

piegone · 23/09/2022 08:47

@scrufffy

Don't worry, they payment date was from 20th September, the money will be with you soon.

piegone · 23/09/2022 08:48

@Sodie

Yes; you will get £150 for each DLA claimant.

Italianmamami · 24/09/2022 08:16

I received a text yesterday to say the government are making extra payments for the cost of living and a link from the dwp

unicornwonders · 24/09/2022 09:49

i have a pending payment for tuesday saying COL

OP posts:
Italianmamami · 24/09/2022 10:21

Mines definitely not Monday so hoping for Tuesday but that’s the day dla goes in for my son

megletthesecond · 25/09/2022 12:43

Martin Lewis has written about this. Apparently almost everyone's payment has been delayed. Cock up somewhere in the system.

Italianmamami · 25/09/2022 16:33

They are also announcing that the 324.00 payment will be received by the 1st of october so maybe that is the delay because they are releasing two cost of living payments at the same time

piegone · 25/09/2022 16:48

The delay In processing was due to the short notice bank holiday. There is no connection between this and the £324 as the qualifying criteria are different.

ZOOOOM · 25/09/2022 21:36

The delay was caused by the extra bank holiday due to the queen's funeral/national mourning. The process got delayed but will be back and running again from tomorrow. i read this info, on a .Gov site. xx

Vanillaoatcake · 27/09/2022 06:56

My COL payment went in this morning alongside the regular DLA x

AllThingsServeTheBeam · 27/09/2022 06:56

I've had mine this morning. My PIP is due tomorrow.

scrufffy · 27/09/2022 07:03

Mine still isn't in :(

BarryKentPoet · 27/09/2022 07:15

Mine cleared today.
