Can anyone recommend an electric blanket for the bed?

I bought the Dreamland fleece underblanket from Amazon for my bed and it's totally rubbish- barely gets warm, so it's going back. My old one used to get so toasty! I'm looking for a fleece one, can anyone recommend one?

I have a basic Silentnight one that I got in Asda a few years ago, and it is excellent. Nothing fancy, just 3 settings, the warmest of which is so toasty I rarely use it.

Are you giving it time to heat before getting into bed? I put it on half an hour before and switch it off as I get in, unless it is an extremely cold night.

Sounds like it was faulty - after an hour the whole bed should be warm.

I'm sure I'm teaching granny to suck eggs here, but you did have the electric blanket on the mattress and covered by a duvet or blankets?

I've got the dreamland dual control one as dh likes his side cold. It's totally brilliant and my bed is toasty warm in 10 mins on the hottest setting - long enough to brush teeth etc etc. I usually turn it off when I get in but it's safe to keep on for a few hours at a very low setting. I love it as our attic room is quite cold in winter.

Get yourself a hotdealsuk account and set up an alert for electric blankets. They send to recommend silent night there and they seem to be about £20 in the recent deals.
