Meal planning newbie - Does anyone use an awesome spreadsheet they can share with me?

Hello,

Since its looking like we will all be poorer with the Cost of Living increases happening now, I have decided to try again to properly plan out out meals as a family and cut food costs.

I'm looking for a spreadsheet to allow me to plan meals across (ideally) four weeks, and then list the ingredients I need to shop for for those meals.

I am sure that someone must have created a clever spreadsheet that can do this, but I'm coming up blanks when I'm searching.

Does anyone have something that works well for them, that they could send me or point me in the direction of?
Thanks in advance!

I think the difficulty is that each person's recipes for stuff will be so different. So you might need to invest an hour into putting something together yourself which reflects what you use in each meal.

Interested to see any responses, I love a good spreadsheet.

I just use the notes app on my phone to make a list of the meals and do my online shop at the same time.

@Findahouse21 absolutely, I know i will need to add my own recipes etc, but although I appreciate a good spreadsheet, I’m not as good at creating them!
man just looking for a head start to save me creating from scratch!

Hi @Glitterkitten24 this may not be exactly what you need but I've used the easypeasyfoodie meal plan -4 weeks and then adapted it for the following months. Done great recipes and may give you some ideas.

@MerlinsButler thanks so much, I’ve requested to download that now! I appriciate it!

@bettybadger I’d still love to see your version too if you don’t mind? Thank you!

@Glitterkitten24 you're very welcome hope it helps. There are some great receipts on there and a brilliant tray bake section. Plus she has a section on using theme nights to meal plan which I find really useful. So you kind of have a formula to work from.

I use this website so much and everything I've tried has been lovely. Particularly recommend the Chicken Shawarma and the Chicken and chorizo Risotto for quick and very tasty meals.
