If you're desperate I'd imagine you've already considered everything. Nothing to offer, sorry.

Some ideas in the £10 a day thread that may help - good luck

Can you say what you need it for?? There are specific grants available for certain things including power bills.

Suggestions: Anything you can sell on marketplace?? Offering evening babysitting (assuming you work during the day. Or offering a spring clean or help decluttering on the weekend - a social media ad might get some takers).

Put every item of clothing you or the dc don't wear on Facebook marketplace and ebay. All auctions of 7 days.
Sell any unwanted furniture through Facebook or get a house clearer to come and look at selected pieces to make you an offer.
Sell or pawn jewellery through a dealer but prepare to be disappointed.
Do you have a saleable skill you could sell vouchers to your friends (eg evening babysitting £25). Allowing you to get the money and spread out the cashing in of the vouchers.
Ask family for a loan.

  1. Tell us how much money you do have and what do you plan to spend it on. It could be that people may have ideas of how to stretch it further, which could then mean there's some spare towards the £580.
  1. Tell us what the £580 is for and why it has to be paid in 10 days, in case you're wrong about that and there's a way to delay it which would give you more time to raise the money.
  1. If you don't pay the £580 in 10 days is it going to start racking up interest/other charges?
  1. Pawn your gold and silver if you have any.
  1. Go through your home and list for sale anything you can sell that isn't a bare essential. Facebook, Gumtree and Preloved are free to post ads.
  1. If you pay your utilities by direct debit and the payment is due to come out in the next 10 days, change that to quarterly billing to free up that money towards the £580.
  1. Ask at work if there's any extra shifts going. If you know you can pay it back at the end of the month on payday, a friend or relative might lend you some money towards the £580.
  1. Apply for a credit card or loan, as long as you can pay it back.
  1. Search your home for cash in pockets etc.

Do you have a car, scooter or bike? Sign up to be a Deliveroo driver you can pick hours that suit. Friday /Saturday nights you could make up to £100 in our city. Less busy evening or day time shift maybe £50. My son does it as a second job and is out tonight, they think it’ll be busy, so they boost payments (pay more each delivery) to get more delivery folk out working. You can draw down the money the next day I think so it’s quick money.

Put a post up on Facebook asking if anyone has any bar work or another type of work that is likely to pay you in cash.

Decluttering your house and garage and selling on Facebook marketplace

Ask your bank for an overdraft (probably a better rate than a payday loan if desperate)

You can try signing up for some survey sites but £580 is a massive target, changing banks can be easy money but takes time. Money saving expert has a A Swagbucks code and you can cash out in PayPal but earning on there is very slow going.

I second selling stuff/clothes.

Can you do any gardening or offer an ironing service locally? Rent out a room? Have you tried to do an audit to see if you can save or make money somewhere? Money saving expert has lots of good advice
