Is Aldi/Lidl actually cheaper?

Hello! Thinking of ways to cut our costs each month. Usually spend about £100 per week in Tesco/asda. Family of 4. Don't drink alcohol. Do you think Aldi or Lidl are genuinely cheaper and ok quality?

Does anyone else’s children not like the stuff for there though? I bought cereal for dd and crisps and she wouldn’t eat either of them, I think they taste fine but she said they both tasted horrible, not sure if it’s saving money if the kids won’t eat it 🤣
