How is your attempt to use less gas/electric/water going ?

I read all 3 meters again yesterday and the app shows I’ve used quite a lot less 🎉
My waterbutt is practically empty, but I am making the effort to put any clean water - such as out of the dog’s bowl or the kids water bottles - on the plants. And I’ve cut down on showers at night, doing pits n bits instead when I’ve not been to the gym.
The heating is off and staying off until October now.
The majority of washing is going on the line, but I’ve had complaints about rough towels so have to fluff them up for 10 minutes in the dryer.
Unfortunately I still seem to have mountains of washing, need to see how I can reduce it.

Thank you so much for your reply lindi. I started reading the reviews online and they sound really good and also there is a cook book for remoska which looks appealing. When I've got some spare monies (ha) I may well purchase one.

Do they house a full size chicken? I only buy small ones.

Still struggling to get DH to realise leaving the TV, laptop etc on all day when not being used is a waste. As I usually work outside of the home I cannot check in the day what needs switching on. However, I am making sure my work laptop is plugged in at work, so when I come home I can work in the evening ( or a rare day at home) on the battery. Before, I would often not plug it in all day.

however, have not bought a new, needed, tumble drier - so saved money on new purchase and electricity. Am getting the older children to wash their hair after swimming lessons. Toddler is almost dry, so that will reduce washing soon - I hope! Also not allowing much screen time - toys instead this holiday!

washing things less - oldest dc’s floordrobe is not just going straight into the wash!
