Just that really. I have a gas hob but would consider buying a small counter top electric hob if means I’ll save money. I generally use the hob daily for maybe an average of 15 mins and 1 ring. Usually 2 on a Sunday though for a bit longer.

I saw on tv yesterday that a pressure cooker is much cheaper than either. Pressure cookers start from £15. However I am sure a gas hob will be way cheaper than an electric one.

I will definitely be buying a pressure cooker soon even though I possess a gas hob.

Gas is cheaper to run but you should get it serviced annually so factor in that.

my gas costs 4p and electric 19p - presently before the increase tomorrow

using a pressure cooker on a gas hob will reduce your cooking time dramatically - a 2 hour casserole cooked in a few minutes, so save gas usage. Or electric oven usage

I only have an electric oven but I’ve been using a counter too hallogen oven for a couple of years - seems to save money as it’s instant heat - no need to pre-heat and as it’s just me and Ds plenty big enough to cook our meals.

Gas is cheaper but slow cookers are cheaper than either. I think Remoskas are also very cheap.
