I'm going to have difficulty finding the money to pay for a divorce although I have to somehow as I can't leave it much longer. I've got financial issues any way. We've had cards on 0% deals for various reasons but not putting anymore off just whacking £100 average off each one. So about £500. My intention is to try get them frozen so I can stay in the house another year then pay them all iff when I sell but from what I understand I'll then get black Mark's which won't drop off for 6 years and I've worked so hard to get good credit. I may just have 6o sell earlier. My husband has gone into sheltered accommodation as he is severely disabled

Really sorry to hear about your difficulties. I don't know if you are working/employed/self employed, but have you looked at Stepchange? www.stepchange.org/.

They offer free expert debt advice. There are others I'm sure, but I have that one is very good.

Are you working? Have you had a look to see if you're eligible for help with the Court Fee?

You don't need a Solicitor to draft the Divorce Petition for you although you might want to seek some legal advice about the Financial Settlement.

Rights of Women are very good.

Do you know how much your debts are in total?

Can second the advice about speaking to Step Change.

Christians Against Poverty are good as well or you could speak to your local CAB.

I know it's probably seems like an odd question but are you in the Severn Trent Water area?

What you need is good advice- Shelter, Citizen’s Advice, Stepchange
