First time transferring money on credit card... have I done it right?

I’m up to the limit on my CC (due to recent car trouble) and the 0% finance is due to run out in Dec.

The limit is £3k... I am at £2886.

So I’ve just transferred to another card, despite still having 5 months 0% left on current card. Was this stupid of me?

My new card cost £35 to transfer fixed fee and is 0% for 27 months. The limit has gone up to £4k.

I just did it online and it all seemed a bit too easy! I’m worried now that my original CC lender is going to charge me for transferring money to someone else? Is this the case?

I’m moving from Lloyds Bank to Virgin Money.

Thanks

No Lloyds wont charge you anything, Virgin will now transfer your balance to them and you will see 0 balance on your Lloyds card. It can take a few days for the switch over to happen.
