Hi there,
I want to try to sell some of my great grandmothers jewellery to help my mum out after my dad's recent death Sad
she has lots of rather flamboyant costume jewllery left to her my grandmother, where would be a good place to sell it?
Also I have a gate bracelet that I would like to sell to go toward funeral expenses and I don't know what the marks mean? I think it probably means gold plated, but not sure.
Can anyone help? Google doesn't seem to be working!
thanks in advance

Thanks @Poisonata what do you think the long word ‘Grappd?’ means!

I was left a lot of jewellery, most of which I sold in various ways.
The items that were gold, but unfashionable or broken, I took to a reputable jeweller and sold for scrap. They looked at everything and if it was not hallmarked tested the gold content. There were different prices for 9ct, 18ct and 22ct gold.
Items that were sellable, mostly rings I put on E bay. They all sold quite quickly, but you might want to get a jewellers opinion first if you don’t know about stones etc.
Any good costume jewellery also was e bayed. Some of it has makers names and is collectible.
I think the word on the side of your bracelet is an inscrotiion that meant something to the original owner.
