Hi all,

We are struggling atm, Dh earns a very good wage but as we are on just one income and live in the south east our money doesnt go very far. We're a family of 4.

Has anyone got any good ideas to earn some extra cash? I'm very busy with kids stuff during the weekdays as and dd is only in nursery 2 mornings a week it's difficult to get a job with many hours.

I have access to a laptop and am fairly fast at typing but nowhere near the 80wpm that sounds companies need for audio typing roles (I'm about 55-60wpm at the moment). I have worked in customer service mostly over the years before kids.

Skills are:

Working with kids (have two of my own and cared for my friends daughter 1 day per week for a year).

Music: was a lead singer in a band before the kids and now sing with a choir

Outgoing:happy to talk with people over the phone and via email etc

Computer literate and very good written English.

Anyone got any ideas? I've thought about babysitting in the evenings when dh gets home and could probably put the word out fairly easily. Not keen to do childminding while my Dd is still at home most of the time.

You could offer an ironing service perhaps?

Start a music club for children
Some customer service roles can be homeworkers, phone and broadband needed along with time and quiet

IPSOS market research/mystery shopping often have phone call and email assignments you can do from home. The fees are low (under £10) but it might bring in a few pounds.
