How to make money this weekend

A combination of my own stupidity and new job has left absolutely skint. I currently have £3 in my account to last me until the 10th.

(An old debt caught up with me, bailiffs around and I had to give them every penny I had. This was at the same time as starting a new job. I was last paid on the 23rd Feb for half a month, to last me until 10th April when next pay date is.)

Luckily I’ve got my DP so don’t have to worry about bills and he will also feed me. However he is pissed off with me (rightly so) so food is all I will get.

I still need money though, as I want to be able to treat DCs over Easter with Easter eggs and the like.

So, without bashing m for my stupidity, can you please help me with some ideas of how to gather some cash? I’ve already posted some items for sale on Facebook. Any other ideas?

Also is your DP your children's father? If so why can't he sort out Easter eggs / treats for them? Personally I find it really sad that your DP can't be more supportive at what is obviously a difficult time for you and hardly a situation you set out to cause.

No wonder you’re skint if you’ve got £170 in loose change and vouchers kicking about that you didn’t know about.

Can you use the Next card online if no stores nearby?

DP is not DCs dad.

He is not horrible / abusive / unsupportive. In fact he’s just brought me coffee in bed and has popped out to get breakfast so he can cook it for us. He’s just annoyed that I turned a £5 dart charge into a bailiffs visit. And I’m the first to admit that was an incredibly stupid thing of me to do!

It’s not like he’s letting me starve. It’s all ok now.

That's a crazy amount of money vouchers to find in your house! I'm lucky to find a couple of coppers in an old purse 😂

But look out for free Easter events there's several local to me and all will have choc eggs and activities for the children! Unsure if it's a national thing but look out for messy church events - mine went and was a lovely afternoon.

I saw online Disney store are doing a Easter hunt in-store and each child gets a little ufufy teddy. Unfortunately I don't live near one otherwise id be there!!

Your partner is pissed off so will feed you but that’s all you’ll get? Is he your partner, or your parent?

As suggested, sell the vouchers other than the M&S if you can get there to use it for food. Or sell it and get more food in Aldi/Lidl. And YY to Easter being a quite time at home.
