Just wondering us I will go there tomorrow to stock up on some things that I need. Are usually buy toiletries, but I'm wondering what other people by. I need to buy bin bags, coffee tea and honey. Can I find nescafé instant coffee jars there? I know they have PG tea. But I've never tried it. Is it any good? Can I find honey there?

I love to buy coloring books and art supplies there as well. They do have some nice stuff. I have also found some books there too.

Plants (shrubs). Got a red robin years ago, it's huge now.

Garden canes/stakes

Tin foil

Cd

Bag of choc Brazil nuts (more weight than the box of Paynes that they sell)
Walnut whips box of 3
Tubs of candy king sweets. I like the fudge covered with crispes and choc.
It's a shame they don't come with dental care vouchers.😄

Miscellar cleansing stuff.

However, I can get a lot of stuff from wilko or Aldi or Savers from 50-75p.

@libbyliz83 what are dishwasher tablets like?

Chickenagain · 19/05/2017 19:58

Teeth whitening gel pens are brilliant
Bag of 10 x coffee sachets with whitener & sugar
Toothpaste
Seasonal weird stuff
Pens
Jaffa Cake
Liquid eyeliner (fab)
Phone chargers
Zoflora

SquitMcJit · 19/05/2017 19:59

Crisp multipacks
Heinz mayonnaise
Haribo
Shampoo and shower gel ( brands that are much more expensive in Boots and supermarkets)
Stationery bits

Toblerone...

I feel really cross if I buy something therecand then find out it was a smaller pack than usual. And hence not a bargain Grin

SquitMcJit · 19/05/2017 20:02

Oooooh and Whitakers cream chocolates... maybe they are only in the North

I do have an extra special look at Eater, Christmas and Halloween too. Some hideous tat but also some good stuff.

UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitter · 19/05/2017 20:07

If you have blonde hair the purple shampoo and conditioner is fab. It removes any brassiness and makes hair lovely and soft.

Otherwise I end up with a load of crap really. I like the zoflora, neutradol carpet stuff and air freshener (we have two dogs) sometimes get good colours in the branded make up bit. I got nails inc base coat and a lovely pink varnish.

Then I buy cookware/bakeware. Pizza trays are fab as are the rectangular baking trays. Plastic mixing bowls.

SquitMcJit · 19/05/2017 20:07

Sorry, Easter not eater - clearly a Freudian slip with thinking about chocolates and haribo....

libbyliz83 · 19/05/2017 20:20

@funnyfarmer they're the flash powerball ones, box of ten for a quid or if you get them at Xmas it's a box of 120 for 7.99

smurfy2015 · 19/05/2017 21:06

Make up, mine often has L'Oréal lipstick and rimmel nail polish. Plus Zoflora and lunch box bits

Funnyfarmer · 19/05/2017 21:15

Thanks @libbyliz83.
I work about 200 yards from Poundland and I never go.
Think it's because I'm scared I'll end up bankrupt when I get to the till.

totolouise · 23/05/2017 22:26

I buy seasonal items from there occasionally and bought a small blackboard and chalks for my 17 month old girl for Easter. It's her favourite thing at the moment!
I have noticed though that things like bags of crisps and sweets are often smaller in size, or if in multi packs, have less packets in than the usual supermarket packs that you can often buy for £1 when they're on offer.
Other poster's are right in that lots of items can often be found elsewhere for cheaper than £1, so do your research before you go, or on your phone while you're there!

BrianCantsPants · 30/05/2017 22:20

Tissues, Kleenex balsam or extra soft
Lynx shower gel
Face flannels, pack of 6 for a quid
Pringles
Lint rollers, one plus about 5 refills for a quid Grin I have 2 fluffy cats
savlon
Sweeties (bags of minstrels, revels, maltesers, m&ms, Mars bites & snickers bites) £1 each - we go there before the cinema to stock up

I actually took the time to browse around today, yes and with the kids, and was very pleasantly amazed. Went to wilko after for different stuff and it was more expensive for the things I'd got in pound land

Jaja101 · 30/05/2017 23:39

Vitamins, paracetamol, after sun, plasters
Noodles, mixed nuts, fish and chips snacks (addictive)
Watch batteries
Deoderant, soap, pump dispenser toothpaste
Envelopes, sellotape
Tried a face cream once but don't recommend it cos it wouldn't sink into the skin. I looked like I had seen a ghost! 😵

PickAChew · 30/05/2017 23:42

Since you mention it, toothbrushes! Seriously! Whatever Colgate deemed to be their premium priced current range 6 months ago is always dirt cheap in there.

blackcherries · 30/05/2017 23:44

Those thin plastic mats that go under a highchair! Can't do without those.

bluechameleon · 31/05/2017 00:01

Stickers. 2 sheets for a pound, good designs and they are easy for my 2yo to peel off himself.
