What can I cook with these ingredients - no money!

We have no money until Thursday, but I have the following in freezer, fridge and cupboard, what can I cook?

3 x 450g of diced chicken
450g beef mince
2 tons of chopped tomatoes
Frozen mixed veg (peas carrots sweetcorn)
Pasta
Rice
Half a tub of tomato and mascarpone pasta sauce
Stir fry veg
A carton of orange juice
Milk
Bread
5 eggs
Half a green pepper
Frozen mash
Oven chips
3 apples

I'm planning cottage pie with mixed veg tomorrow.

Any ideas for Wednesday and Thursday? We had chicken today in a spicy tomato sauce, not keen on curry and I have no chili powder left.

For lunch and breakfast I'll have toast with marmite probably. I've baked some cheese scones and oat biscuits today, they should see us through.

There's three of us, myself, dh and dd 14.

Thanks.

Chicken pasta bake (with the tomato and mascarpone sauce and a tin of tomatoes)

Apple bread and butter pudding.

That's one night, I'll have a think about another one.

chicken stirfry, Spanish omelette, spag bol, savoury mince,

Thanks, chicken pasta bake - just fry chicken and onions, add sauce, boil pasta, stir together, bake in oven? I have no cheese left Sad

Not worried about pudding, we don't usually have any and the biscuits are there in case we fancy something.

I have no sauce for a stirfry, although I may have some soy sauce in the cupboard. I usually make sweet and sour with pineapple juice, could I make it with orange juice instead?

What would you put in savoury mince?

Thanks Smile

Now I just need to make the cat food last until Thursday evening and I should be ok!

Egg fried rice with three of the eggs, stir fry veg and green pepper. Add in a bit of soy sauce and garlic if you've got some, if not just season.

savoury mince I'd add onion you have it,frozen veg, gravy/beef stock and serve it with the mash.

as for the oj and chicken I reckon it would work fine, there is a Chinese orange chicken recipe

Has anyone got a good bread recipe that makes quite soft bread, as much like shop bought as possible, as otherwise dd won't eat it? I may run out, but have some strong flour in the cupboard and dried yeast, no bread machine, so might make rolls instead of a loaf though.

You could do a version of this recipe. Without the mushrooms and use some of your frozen veg instead. I've done it with long grain rice and it's fine. www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/9795/mushroom-and-rice-onepot. Maybe put some of the chicken in it or thread it onto skewers and grill them to serve with the rice.

Sweet and sour sauce is ok with water table spoon of tomato sauce vinegar and brown sugar, add water add cornflour. Tastes the same.
