Has anyone had one of those moments when you realise that perhaps you've just had a thrifty idea too far?

I've spent the last two days travelling on trains for work and making sure I charge my phone and laptop up en route. Yesterday when my toothbrush started flashing it's low battery light for a brief second I considered taking it and the charger on the journey with me.

When pil leave their kitchen light on and I can see it from the lounge I get twitchy.

Sometimes I get up and turn it off for them.

I lived abroad for a while and freecycling from the communal bins was an accepted practice. People would leave usable items behind them and you never knew what might come up.
