That's it really! Dh and I need to save money and we want to start living more within our means and not spending money on crap!!
I am a huge M&S ready meal fan Blushbut I have started cooking again and have more than halved our food shop and we are obviously eating better now. I have so many clothes so I am going to really try not to buy anything I don't need this year and also try to have as many free days out as possible! So - if anyone wants to join me in a fun spending less but living more chat then please join!

Membership of Scottish heritage and National Trust have saved us a fortune on days out, but we do visit a lot of castles!
Aldi for shopping. Meal planning. Take packed lunches to work.
Charity shops for clothes or Primary/sports direct for things like socks, joggers, light footwear.

We have done a definite spending less and living more. Basically I gave up my job and now work 2 days a week temping and the rest building a freelance business, therefore my pay is considerably less than when I worked in my fulltime employed job. However, what we lost in income we gained in time. I now use very little childcare, I can plan and shop much more efficiently and my income is probably going to be more or less what it was when employed by the end of the year, but we've learned to be much more efficient with what we have. We plan meals, we shop wisely, we do free or cheap stuff and we still have a good time and a few treats. We won't have a holiday this year, but we are saving already for next so we have so far given up nothing have less debt and we enjoy our time much, much more! Smile
