My New Years Resolution ( after watching Blackadder A Christmas Carol) is to open myself up to new ways of making money. I have always been hard working and honest, putting others before myself. This has got me a life of poverty and struggle. So Sod it! I am now up for just about anything. I am too old to go on the Game and I wont harm children or animals but other than this Im up for anything. Any suggestions?

Sell your used underwear

molliec · 04/01/2014 16:35

Good start but I think even the most dedicated pervert might find it difficult to get enthusiastic about 5 year old m&s knickers.

Rob stuff from Iceland*. put it in a big hold all and knock doors to sell it to random strangers. 'Joints of meat' is what I've been offered most recently. Bacon and cheese are apparently the most shoplifted items- perhaps they're popular. Good luck.

*Other supermarkets are available to nick from.

molliec · 04/01/2014 16:46

Another good idea but I want to aim higher.

Looking at a couple of threads today, after school nanny, or morning school run escort?

Mystery shopper?

Dog walker?

meditrina · 04/01/2014 16:51

And if you can stand the stress, hamster hotelier?

(Seriously, you can charge a lot for small rodents in cages for a week - people only use it rarely and at short notice when they realise the day before departure they've forgotten to make arrangements. The stress comes whilst you spend all week worrying if the damn thing is going to die).

MrsBungle · 04/01/2014 16:53

I bet there are a lot of pervs who'd love your 5 year-old m and a knickers!

gamerchick · 04/01/2014 16:58

Used undies is easy. Buy a pack of 10. Wear them once and stick them online for a tenner each. There are sites dedicated if you don't want to use eBay.

Same goes for old boots/slippers/shoes/tights on ebay.

Sex line. Log in to your computer when you feel like doing it.

Webcam cleaning.. basically just do your housework with people watching/ asking you to do different things (sure there's more everyday stuff you can do on webcam)

Take in ironing.

Um can't think of much else right now.

FetchezLaVache · 04/01/2014 17:01

Gamerchick, webcam cleaning- really?? That's more shocking to me than the used undies! There are really people who'd pay to watch you clean your house?? Does one the OP have to dress as a French maid or something?

gamerchick · 04/01/2014 17:07

I dunno I watched it on a program once. There's probably a market for everything.

I think feeding websites bring in the most income but probably not appealing to most people.

Seabright · 04/01/2014 23:43

Get a lodger. Easiest money I have made.

It helps that I have (by lucky chance) found the world's best lodger!

BoffinMum · 05/01/2014 09:53

Can you lactate again and sell your breast milk? It gets £1 a fluid ounce apparently.

BoffinMum · 05/01/2014 09:54

Banking is quite criminal and big earnings there.
Or repackage articles on Wikipedia into eBooks and sell them on Amazon.
Or take part in drug trials and psychological experiments.

BoffinMum · 05/01/2014 09:55

God I should be a millionaire with ideas that brilliant.

mackerella · 05/01/2014 21:36

£1 a fluid ounce, BoffinMum? I've just defrosted and thrown away £90 worth of EBM Shock

(Because DD won't take a bottle and it was too old to use)

TheCrackFox · 05/01/2014 21:52

Apparently really skanky (female only) shoes sell well on EBay.

BoffinMum · 05/01/2014 21:55

Here you go

Apparently some blokes like to - er - drink it.

BoffinMum · 05/01/2014 21:57

£15 for 4 fluid ounces here

I might pack up my job and just lactate for a living instead.

BoffinMum · 05/01/2014 21:59

More stuff to sell

mackerella · 06/01/2014 12:18

Oh no, I've also thrown away some really skanky ballet flats that I had to wear for three weeks continuously while DD was in NICU! Any other potential goldmines I could be sitting on? Sicky mmuslins? Milk-stained t shirts? Grin

ConfusedPixie · 09/01/2014 13:32

I am watching this thread, I'm trying to convince DP to do some geeky videos on youtube but he's not going for it :(

I'm up for anything non-illegal to make money at the moment! I wonder if I could sell my old socks....

midnightmoomoo · 10/01/2014 18:04

The website with ads for men wanting breast milk is probably the weirdest thing I've ever seen!!!

Other ideas.....lap dancing? could you put on weight and do the 'squashing' thing like on the TV programme they did in the states? um....sell a kidney? sell your hair??

midnightmoomoo · 10/01/2014 18:05

ooh....funny video clip for You've Been Framed?? £250 a pop for those!

BoffinMum · 12/01/2014 19:44

A chum of mine made enough from breeding a litter of puppies that she was able to pay for a boob job.
