Hi all just wondering how the credit union works in terms of credit checks? I am currently trying to build up my credit rating and I find it hard to obtain credit. An going to start saving with the credit union in the new year but not sure if I would ever be able to get a loan if I needed one, any advice ladies? Thank you xSmile

Our credit union does credit checks if you want a loan with them

You can sometimes find out which credit record company they use online and focus on clearing up black marks before applying for a loan.

At least that's what my mortgage advisor told me.

The credit union I save with - auto deduction out of salary - doesn't do credit checks for loans. If you have money going in from salary they take that as info enough.
