Help re ex being unemployed and what that means for me/DD

I'm looking for any help/info regarding what we might qualify for in terms of help/finances for DD as a result of my ex currently bring unemployed. Maintenance will drop by £150 per month and that's bringing me close to the 'more going out than coming in' territory. Basically, I'm wondering if this qualifies DD for free school meals or uniform grant? We are in Scotland if that helps. If we/she qualifies for this sort of help, would it have to be my ex who applied for it?

Thanks.

It just means you will get £5 a week if he goes on JSA
That's standard

Doesn't qualify you for anything free unless you go onto tax credits/JSA yourself

So my ex getting JSA won't entitle DD to FSM or uniform grant?

No, I'm pretty sure it would have to be you on JSA etc, as Soul Sister said.

Thanks. Was hoping there might be some way to get help, but seems not.
