Have just cancelled my sky package as they have pissed me off royally the liars.

Signed up to o2 home phone and broadband and now looking for a freeview box, shall I just get a £20 supermarket job or are the more expensive ones worth it?
I have nus discount if there's anywhere that still offers it?

You know you can use your sky box to get most of the freeview channels and some that are not on freeview. But if you are used to sky plus and still want a new box then I would get recordable.

If you've got NUS, look on Quidco for cash back. Tesco had a decent PVR for £200 a while back.

What you mean use the sky box without being connected to a sky contract? I had absolutely no idea

Yes you can totally do that no sky contract but still use the box. My mil does it has for a while works fine and my parents even took a sky box to france so they could get the english channels. Had to put there own saltelite dish up but it all works fine and you already have the dish so just ring up and cancel and you'll get most of the freeview channels and some others that you can't get on freeview but that are free to air.

Brilliant! I'll just do that then thanks
