Does anyone rent out their driveway/garage?

So, since exP left I have a free driveway (he took the car) and a reduced income. I was thinking of renting out the driveway. There appear to be a few websites that let you do this.

I'm not sure how sought after my driveway will be as I don't live right in town centre, however parking in town is notoriously bad and I'm only a 30 min walk/20 min bus ride away.

Anyway, does anyone do this? Any pitfalls? At the moment, if I get get someone to rent it, it looks like easy money...

Pitfalls are that you'd need to declare it as income. So would/could affect any tax credits that you get.

You need to work out how much you'd have to charge to make it worth your while. And then consider whether anybody would actually pay that for a parking space that isn't in 'prime' space.
