A good customer service story

I just took delivery this morning of only my second order from Approved Food (definitely not trying to be advertising them, I have no interest or benefit from that at all!) and thought I'd share my experience of their good customer service.

Order totalled about £30, only took a couple of days from when I placed it, if you're in this section you probably know that they do end of line, over best before date, discontinued and unbranded products, so massively cheaper for things like packets of snacks, dried good etc. I tend to buy mostly individual couscous packets and stir fry sauce sort of things. The packing can be a bit haphazard, and today an antibacterial spray bottle had leaked on a pack of 8 microwave porridge sachets (£1.50 from RRP of £2), some of which I've had to chuck because those sachets aren't waterproof.

I sent them an email on their website to say what had happened, asked whether they do partial refunds on damaged or tainted items, and within an hour I've had an email from them, and a credit to my account of £3.29 for the items and my trouble. No quibble whatsoever. Happy me.

Oh that is good. We had a good delivery from them a while back.

Wish it had less 'random' and sweet stuff though. I can't often find the bits I actually need, and then I splurge on stuff I don't!
