How is everyone doing? We have 2 days left before pay day and down to pennies.... Every month I swear it'll be different, but it never is :(

A friend of mine said today her DH was 'stressing' because they only had £300 left until the 29th. I was seriously Shock

we are shit! we have £3 left, literally £3. although payday is midnight tonight. it's not normal that we have to count the hours is it? one of our cars wouldn't start today and thank god the rac man could fix it for free. i nearly cried with gratitude when he did it. Literally everyone I know has more money than me. I'm sharing your pain.

i need to stop saying literally.

I was down to coppers in my purse last Friday - I was paid by Saturday. The meals were ... interesting!

If I had £300 four days before payday I would weep with gratitude!

And now, the cupboards and freezers are groaning from my online Tesco shop, we both have full tanks of fuel, bills are paid, dh has been to the dentist ..... and we're back down to pretty much zero! But there's a wad in my purse for the month.

I've restructured some repayments - finally got my head out of the sand long enough to do it. Couldn't believe how easy it was to do in the end. It's going to make a BIG difference to us, month to month.

We've been much better since dh changed jobs and gets paid weekly. My wages pay the bills and dh wages are what we spend on food/petrol etc. it's all the same amount but the psychological affect is much better.

Payday here today but no money due to the Ulster Bank/NatWest f*ck up. I have to go in on my lunch break and see will they release some funds from my account. I was really embarrassed this morning because it is the last day of school here today and I didn't have the ?5 to contribute towards the teachers gift.

but you shouldn't be embarassed, it was the bank's fault! you should add embarrassment trauma to the claim you make against the bank ;)
