Scary!

I couldn't even find the entrance - never been out of work before. Going to claim Carers Allowance as well, DS is autistic and getting harder to manage as he gets older which is making it much harder to work.

I will still be doing ad-hoc work for my previous employer but nothing regular.

It's scary to suddenly be faced with this in my forties when I've always worked. Place is packed here - wonder if they need any staff Grin

If you're polite to the staff they'll be so overwhelmed they'll invite you to the Christmas party... :) Don't worry, and hope they help you find a job soon. Good luck

They were lovely - feel relieved. I have some ad-hoc work booked with my last employer. Discussed how I'd keep them updated . Income Support stops if I earn over £100 in any one week but will restart fairly quickly if the following week I earn nothing.

Glad it went OK.

Good luck, hope you find something very soon

I've been there! it was a terrible time, but it passes.

One lesson it taught me was to keep my outgoings down as much as possible.
