It sometimes feels good to spend money!

For ages now out of my income of £180 per week I've been spending £80 and saving £100. This is because I've moved to a leasehold flat and want to have something put by in case landlords demand payments for maintenance etc.

But last weekend my Dad (who's 84) wrote off his car. Today I used my savings to buy him a new one. Am I mad? Probably, but it's made me feel happy!

No, not mad. You're just being a loving daughter :)

I think you and your dad are mad. An 84 year old man probably shouldn't be driving a car - especially after he's just written one off.
