Anyone on here taken a second job to help with finances?

Any ideas of making a bit of extra cash - but not ebay as I have nothing to sell!

I'm trying to sell paintings. Haven't made any money yet though because I had to spend a fair bit on equipment but eventually I hope it turns a profit, helps that I enjoy it too so at the moment I like that I will hopefully have a hobby that pays for itself plus it keeps me busy so I don't snack (as I'm also trying to lose weight and save money on food shopping)

I'm also trying to buy as little as possible, what I do buy needs to be as cheap as possible and also trying to save petrol. I'm sure you're doing this already. We did think about getting rid of DH's car because of fuel prices but the train is more per week than he's spending on petrol and would add an hour each day to his travelling time plus apparently there is a new law coming in to say you have to insure the car even if you are not driving it so we wouldn't even save the insurance money so it's not worth it.

I dont know what you think about Kleenze, I tried it a few years ago there is money to be made but I found it wasnt for me, although some people think it's a good earner.

I used to do Body Shop at Home and made reasonable money - between £30 - £100 (once!) a night. At the time I was having to hand over £20-25 of it to a babysitter, so it wasn't very viable in the long term, but I did enjoy it.

Before I started, I was doubtful that people would buy because there's a Body Shop in every town around where I live, but people bought a surprising amount. I used to get 25% of all sales.

If you live somewhere that doesn't have a BS branch nearby and don't have to pay for babysitting you could make a reasonable amount of money for not much effort. I think it would be tricky if you didn't have a car, though.
