DH is going to be made redundant tomorrow

In some ways it is a relief, he's had a miserable commute for a while.

But there is no immediate prospect of work for either of us.

Anyone else going through this? Survival strategies?

my DH was made redundant last december and he only started working full time again at the end of august! it is truely shite and i have literally no idea how we managed. there are quite a few schemes you can go on if you have a mortgage, if you have any credit cards/debts then take steps to reduce repayments asap (we didnt do this until recently and built up alot of debt we couldnt deal with) the CCCS are good for this as they put you on a plan and dont charge to take control of these
