Tested positive for Covid today and I’m on prednisolone and Mycophenolate mofetil.

As the title suggests I’ve just tested positive for Covid and I’m on prednisolone and Mycophenolate mofetil for a skin condition. I don’t feel too unwell just got a temperature a bit sweaty, altered sense of smell (which is why I tested). Is it just a case of waiting it out these days?

According to Google, you need to phone 111 and ask for the rapid assessment for Covid antivirals.

You are probably eligible as being in a high risk group with your immunosuppression.

I’m also on prednisolone and mycophenolate (plus tacrolimus) for a kidney transplant.

when I had Covid I was advised to stop the mycophenolate until I tested negative. I also received the antivirals

Thank you, I’ve spoken to my GP who suggested a prophylactic course of antibiotics and said to ring dermatology which I did. They said to stop taking the MMF and prednisolone until i test negative and thr prophylactic antibiotics are a good idea. Not getting anti virals which I’m quite pleased about.
