Has anyone experienced Burning Mouth Syndrome after covid? I seem to have developed it and it is pretty horrendous. Did it clear up for you? How long did it take?

My mum suffers from Burning Mouth Syndrome really badly. She has done for years, but only recently went to see a specialist. They said as she's had it so long it's not gong to be 'curable' but they suggested some things to alleviate the symptoms. The weirdest for me was gargling with capsicum! You'd think if anything would make your mouth burn that would!

Thank you! Willing to try anything at this point

She just had her blood results back and is pretty severely B12 deficient. It's weird because she had the test 2 or 3 times with normal results within the last couple of years, and she's had the burning mouth longer than that. They insisted on re-taking them at the dental hospital though and those are the results! She's really happy to have SOMETHING that could be behind it. Apparently it needs further investigation as to what the cause of the deficiency is.

Have you actually had a proper diagnosis/blood tests?
