Currently have Covid - unmotivated

I had Covid symptoms that started two weeks ago, the first being malaise. I wouldn’t have normally tested, I did and of course it was instantly positive. Oddly my child is so far testing -ve and symptom free despite drinking from my cup midweek.

my issues are we were due to see my parents , so we’ve held off but for how long (I still have symptoms- see below). I wonder if this new strain has a long incubation period as now waiting for my children to get it.

I’ve also felt really flat and low in mood. I can be susceptible anyway. I work remotely so continued working but I feel unmotivated, and have a can’t bothered to do anything feeling (and summer holidays are here 😱). Bizarrely I’ve had headaches and reflux.

any anecdotal tips to lift the mood and thoughts on when to see parents? - I’ll hold off whilst I’m still ill but wondering whether to wait a further few weeks to ensure it doesn’t appear in the kids…

Oh no -sorry to hear you’re unwell too. Yes probably all the cold inflammatory markers pulling down the mood. Make sure you rest up- I find resting tough! Hope you recover quickly xx
