I feel like my skin is burning
My muscles and joints all hurt
My headache is incredible

I’m taking ibuprofen and paracetamol and neither is helping. I have a cold pack on my head.

What else can I do?

This is the third time I’ve had Covid and I think this is the worst I’ve felt. I do have fibromyalgia so not sure if that makes the pain worse or if everyone feels like this.

I’m in a state and don’t know what to do with myself!

I read just yesterday about the new strain and the awful symptoms. Sounds awful.
I hope it eases quickly for you Flowers

I’ve had it once and I couldn’t do anything but lie in bed for 3 weeks. Even watching tv from bed was too strenuous. Everything hurt. I had an o2 monitor at home and with an albuterol inhaler the doctor sent it hovered just above the level to be admitted to the hospital the entire time.

Time and sleep is all you can do.

Just posted this in reply to a thread on Chat, and thought I should post it here too because it might help some people to know they're not imagining things!

"I've had something similar for coming up to 2 weeks. The deepest aches and pains in my pelvis, butt, backs of my thighs, various shooting pains in other random locations, grim sore throat on and off, headachey days, and today a lot of pain in my mouth/gums/teeth. Grim. Can't get warm some nights, other nights too hot, but the fatigue is off the scale. Was walking my nephew to school earlier and it was like wading through mud, I almost fell over! So I can totally sympathise OP. Did you do a test? I suspect mine's Covid but don't test these days. Feel really down too."

It's truly horrid, OP, and I hope you feel better very soon 💐

By the way OP, I also have fibromyalgia (diagnosed at Guys Hospital about 8 years ago). The burning skin thing isn't something I get that often, and I usually don't suffer badly from it even when I get phases. But with this virus it has been very painful yesterday and today, particularly at the back of the tops of my legs. I could barely sit down yesterday, which was awful because I was shattered!

I actually feel a bit better today. Still sore muscles, and sore skin at times but so much better than Wednesday. I did do a test and it was Covid. I totally understand when you say your gums and teeth were sore, I was saying to my husband even my teeth hurt. I just hurt everywhere and my skin has been really uncomfortable even if just stroked. My husband is a very touchy person and I keep having to say please don’t touch me as it hurts!!

I feel absolutely dreadful with it. It isn’t just a cold by any stretch of the imagination. 😔

Ah sorry to hear that LOLOL82. I recovered pretty quickly and hope you do too xxx
