Covid hanging around

I've got covid for the first time. Haven't felt well for 10 days now. Still testing positive although the line is fainter. Cough has nearly gone, taste/smell is back but I feel so tired. Went for a little drive just now to see how I felt (apart from very short walks with the dog I haven't been out in 10 days) and I've come back dripping with sweat. People I know who have had covid seem to be unwell for a few days then are fine. Is there a particularly bad strain going round at the moment? My last vaccination was over 2 years ago as I am not old/vulnerable enough to have one. I have told work that I will be back tomorrow as I felt OK when I woke up but now I'm not so sure.

My GP says many people are finding fatigue is an issue with some of the current strains. Advice is to rest loads. You may want to add some Vit C, zinc, Vit D, probiotics to your routine to give your immune system a boost. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Thank you. I went back to work today (wore a mask as a precaution). Took it slowly and paced myself. Am feeling tired but fortunately not due back at work now for a few days so can rest.

I also have it for the 1st time and last vaccination 2 years ago. I’m on day 9 and still coughing, very congested with fatigue.

I’m just feeling up to wfh but after a couple of meetings I’m exhausted. I feel guilty about not going in but I can do everything remotely and my team have told me to stay away as they don’t want it!! Others I know who had it recently said it took them weeks to recover and still not 100%.

I'm still coughing and easily tired. Luckily I only work part time so can rest on my days off. People have said that the latest strain is a bad one. I hope you feel better soon.

@BanditBriggs thank you and get well soon to you too!

I’ve had covid several times but this feels the worst fatigue wise. My head is killing, my neck hurts, chest hurts and I am absolutely shattered. I wake up feeling like I haven’t slept, feel sick and shaky and dizzy and can barely hold a conversation at times.

was really hoping to feel better by now.

I have had what I thought was a bug but the doctor agreed could be Covid: horrid headache, razorblades in throat feeling, horrible cough and breathing problems, sore limbs and face, vomiting for a day and then stomach cramps and upset tummy when I try to eat that leave me feeling really weak in my legs. And exhaustion.

That sounds like what I had except I didn't actually vomit - just felt nauseous. Still feeling tired and my appetite hasn't returned yet. Can you taste/smell? I lost taste/smell for 5 days.
Hope you feel better soon.

I wasn't enjoying food. Since I had Covid before, my sense of taste has never quite been the same. Feeling a lot more human now two weeks in. Thank you.

It does sound like the latest strain is a particularly bad one. I'm still coughing and low energy - have had enough of it now. Hope you feel better soon.

I've just had covid for the 3rd time . I only tested because I had sore skin and I just happened to have a test .
I have had a rash and sore irritated skin every time I've had covid .
This time it was my only symptom apart from a one day scratchy throat and a slightly stuffy nose .
Maybe I'm getting milder symptoms because I've had it a few times now ?
