Covid symptoms but neg test?

DH has had classic covid symptoms since Tues: dry cough, headache, muscle aches, fatigue, loss of smell & taste.
He's tested 3 times using 2 different brands of test. Showing negative.
Presuming it's not covid but there must be another virus with identical symptoms!

Lots, most viruses have similar symptoms such as fever, muscle aches, fatigue. It also could just be covid and the test isn’t picking it up. I am not sure it really matters. All treatment is the same, rest, fluids etc unless it becomes apparent medical intervention is needed.

DD had it this week, started on Monday, she couldn't get out of bed till Friday (and she's a super sporty teen who hates being in bed!), my symptoms started Friday morning, feels exactly like last time I had it. DS is clinically vulnerable and ended up in ITU when he had Covid so we've been testing a lot! All negative but decided to treat it like positive and distance from him.

It's horrible this one. Feel awful!

Daughter had it last week though it appears we tested towards the end as she was negative a day later. I’ve been wiped out, muscle pain and very mild cold (no sore throat) since but repeatedly negative tests. Had booster in oct. Just seems a bit of a coincidence really 🤷‍♀️

Took 4 days to test positive when I had it.
