Haven’t been able to get a test with Christmas/Boxing day but has anyone had Covid recently where you’ve lost taste/smell, had a bad throat & kinda flu achey but no cough/cold symptoms?

It’s the taste thing that’s making me think it’s Covid but not had it like this before.

Yes, describes my symptoms when I recently tested positive for Covid. Started with a very sore throat (at which point still testing negative though), then became achy, sweating a lot, had a strange unpleasant taste in my mouth plus diminished taste overall, and then tested positive. No cough or nasal congestion. The weirdest symptom was that after the throat etc has subsided I got these intense pains in my hips and legs - this was the following week. At first I didn't associate it with the Covid but after googling found that this can be a symptom.
Anyway, I hope you feel better soon.

I can taste, can still smell and I'm still positive to covid. Mine started with headaches, aching and sneezing.

I had it in December. I had a cough but I'd just had flu too and always get a cough after flu.

Apart from that I had fever, things tasted weird, no appetite, aching hips and lower back.
A swollen throat and glands but throat only a little bit sore
And I was very weepy (am not usually someone who cries)
No other cold type symptoms, maybe slightly stuffy.

It was realising I'd been off my food for days and things didn't taste right that suddenly made me think Covid, it was the first time I've had it since Oct 2020, and I'd only had it very mildly back then.
