Think I had Covid when I had my booster

Got called for booster, slightly odd as I am only 50 and not vulnerable, but I do have very mild asthma so think I was on GP’s asthma clinic list.

Anyway I had it on Saturday and I have tested positive today. Looking back I did have some mild symptoms on Saturday but I also have a raging dust mite allergy and had been cleaning out an attic full of dusty clothes on Friday so I put it down to that. Didn’t have a temp or anything. Still don’t. Only tested today as my husband got some free tests and it’s been going about at his work. He’s positive too.

Does anyone know what this means for my booster? I thought that the reason they said don’t come for one if you have Covid was to avoid exposing staff and other people in the clinic who may be vulnerable.

Yes, it was more about protecting others than it being a problem for you. If you were very vulnerable then sometimes it could be a bit of a workout for your immune system, but that's not you, so don't worry

This happened to me when I had one of my early vaccines. I am not sure that it really had any particular effect either way.
