Just wondering if a newer variant wouldn't be picked up?
I've tested negative 4 times in 2 weeks but have the covid cough etc

Am planning on getting (trying) a GP appt tho
*other infections are available

Seemingly they aren’t picked up well if you don’t do throat and nose but, as you say, other infections are out there.

I had COVID in August and had quick inset symptoms this time and tested positive straight away.

But I'm really perplexed by my 16 daughter who became unwell Fri but main symptom sore throat and temp . She tested negative COVID and she gets bacterial tonsillitis at least once a yr so as tonsils yellow on them GP prescribed antibiotics. Just 24h later she improving , 48h later felt well enough get up ,shower and actually popped out to friends house ...but within couple of hours body aches returned, temperature too and headache . And today slight cough as well
. But today 4th day in row negative to covid . But presenting so much more like COVID now -,unless actual flu . I do trust the tests though cos of me - unless a different strain ? I know there are a few.

I know whatever it is doesn't really affect her treatment but if was we be much more careful re her contact w rest of family . Esp as I have chronic fatigue still from COVID I had mid Aug .

Get well all
