Day 9: LFT was faint yesterday but dark today

... so I guess I just didn't do the test very well yesterday? There's no other explanation? I haven't been anywhere so there's zero chance that I've got a second infection. Anyone else testing positive for this long??
I've also remembered that before tests were available, symptomatic people had to isolate for 10 days.

It could be you didn't do it quite as well, or just that the amount of virus in specific places in your body isn't going down in a completely linear way.

Even 10 days was never guaranteed to be enough and some people test positive for 12, 13, 14...

I tested negative day 13, DM still positive day 15.
A doctor told me yesterday that DM wouldn’t be contagious so there was no point in testing.
Day 19 and I’m still getting over the fatigue and may have a blood clot, DM has a runny nose!

Really? Mad anyone tests, and madder to test repeatedly

JustAnotherRandom · 19/09/2023 10:47

Mad to test for anything or just covid?

Thank you for your considered and helpful reply, but you know nothing about anyone else's personal or family situations.

No, what's mad is that you'd come on here and belittle somebody for doing the sensible thing and staying away from other people when they have a contagious disease.

This should be case for ALL contagious illnesses so I do agree it's strange that covid is set apart. But even so, OP is doing the RIGHT thing.

oh! I’ve just been speaking to my manager who doesn’t want me in work til I’ve tested negative. I’m on day 4 and it’s mega strong still. I’m wfh so not a major issue, but she may have to deal with me being online for over a week!! I don’t feel well enough to go in anyway, but was sort of thinking I might by Thursday (after 5 days).
For anti-testers - no law against testing, why would I want to spread it about? Also I like to know if it is covid as I’m interested in my health too.

Me and my husband tested positive for more than a fortnight when we had Covid earlier in the year. We weren’t still ill as such but still coughing.
