Just had a positive Covid test for the first time

I have previously had 3 Covid jabs in total but unfortunately they haven't stopped me getting it. Test showed as positive almost immediately. I managed to avoid it for 3 and a half years despite people around me all getting it, some of whom have had it more than once. It started with me having a very sore throat on Friday, then by Saturday I had a fever. I currently have a blocked nose and my taste and smell have both disappeared. I am still quite hot, but I'm not shivering like I was yesterday. I noticed my heart was pounding all day yesterday but it seems to have settled now. Also feel a bit sick and have very little appetite. I'm a bit surprised how bad it's been after having all the jabs. It's definitely much worse than any cold I have ever had. How was it for you if you've had it or currently have it?

I had it for the first time after Christmas. I was definitely ill with it. Have had all the jabs. I was glad I'd had all the jabs as everything helps your body learn to fight it off. I could have been severely ill if I'd not had the jabs rather than just being able to fight it off at home. I'm in my 50s and chubby, so not lower risk.

I've had 3 jabs at CV 3/4 times at least. I had 1/2 really crappy days but not much worse than a bad cold tbh. I think it's generally pretty mild nowadays. Maybe you have flu as well?

Same here. First time having it and have had all the jabs and extra boosters as I'm a carer. Fever, banging headache, sore throat, joint pain, sore eyes, tired, starting to develop a cough now, and I never get coughs.

Had it twice, both times much like you've had. It's certainly not just a cold. Had all the jabs I'm allowed as a healthy 40-something. I had really bad fatigue for weeks after the first round, much quicker recovery after the second time.

The jabs stop you ending up in hospital/dying. They don't prevent infection, because it's mutated so much since the original vaccine.

I have had it pre-vaccination and again a fortnight ago. The recent time the first 3 days were awful and then I gradually recovered, although I’m still very breathy and tired. The first time I felt awful for 10 days and couldn’t get out of bed. It took me weeks to recover.

I’ve just tested positive for the first time. Had 4 jabs.
Temp of 38, sore throat, minor cough, nausea, chills, muscle spasms, head feels completely blocked. Used one of the original style tests and got a positive immediately.

How is everyone doing today? I'm on Day 5 and the fever spikes seem to have stopped now but I'm getting terrible night sweats, completely drenched and shivery. Feel like the exhaustion is kicking in now that the fever has gone. Also feeling depressed about being stuck in one room while my family go out and have fun in the sunshine 😔

Why is still this utter lie circulating?? Some vaccinated people don't end up in hospital and survive. Others end up in hospital, other end up in hospital and die. This is the reality.
