How is your covid symptoms? Mine are very mild but definitely had fever and stuff on day two… just getting over a terrible flu I had end of January. This covid isn’t too bad so far.

I'm a first timer (had all 4 vaccinations) on Day 5. The flu like symptoms have mainly gone but I still get random but pointless coughing fits and have wobbly legs. I've got absolutely no stamina either but the single most horrid symptom is the sore throat to end all sore throats. Awfully painful and feels a hot as the gateway to Hades. Weirdly I also seem to have lost spatial awareness and have managed to head butt various shelves and door frames. All in all I'm sure it could be worse but I dislike it greatly for all that.

Kittley · 17/03/2023 06:03

Not feeling great. It's my 2nd time with COVID, I've had all the jabs. The 1st time I had it was bad with every symptom listed online so thought 2nd time would be a lot milder. Started with a sore throat on Monday and has progressed to a lot of coughing especially at night in the past couple of days. Taken day off work yesterday as had fever, runny nose and generally lethargic and unwell. I'm in bed it's 6am and I had another restless night coughing a lot despite taking a cough syrup, put Vicks on chest etc and drinking a lot of honey and lemon hot drink. Hope we all get better soon.

At first it was very like flu, now I feel very tired and its an effort to do things. Little coughing, though. Been off sick from work nine days including the weekends.

Anonymouseposter · 01/04/2023 22:31

Like flu, temperature, shivering . Onset was very sudden. Still positive after 8 days and bunged up with a cold. Been very tired. Sore eyes. Not pleasant but not serious either

Anonymouseposter · 01/04/2023 22:33

There does seem to be quite a lot of it around.

Netcam · 01/04/2023 22:50

Everyone in my house has it right now apart from me. I think. None of us have tested positive before, so we think this is the first time, though hard to be sure. DS2 16, DS1 18, both been really unwell, on day 15 now since positive test, still coughing, had sore throats, fever, fatigue, blocked nose. Two days ago, day 13, DH developed similar symptoms, but milder, tests negative so far. He hasn't been anywhere he might have got a cold, has been WFH the past 2 weeks while teens were ill, only been out for dog walks. Supposed to be going away in a week's time, but could cancel, would prefer to be at home if I'm going to get it, which seems inevitable really. Not sure what to do.

Willmafrockfit · 02/04/2023 09:10

just tested positive
for the first time
felt so tired and rough, i was so shocked to see the positive result.
thick nose, sore eyes, head ache, cough - no smell
i am asthmatic but no wheeze luckily.
just dont know what to do with myself

AutisticLegoLover · 02/04/2023 09:36

This is my second covid infection and it's mild compared to the first time. My hips and back ache along with my head but the sore throat has gone now. Bit of a cough but asthmatic and on oral steroids because my chest is tight. Generally feel very tired, no energy. I tested positive on Wednesday and was shocked at the positive result. I'd been feeling off for a week but on and off so I've no idea when I actually got it. The sore throat started a week ago as yesterday. Last time it took me weeks to get back to normal. About 6/7 I think.

Timbot · 02/04/2023 17:09

Just tested positive this afternoon. It's my second time. I had it last March. Last year all 4 of us in our household got it at various different times and managed not to spread it to each other. This time my 16 year old had it last week and I have obviously caught it from him. I am not sure if we have been as vigilant about hand washing and keeping separate. Anyway he was only bad for 3 days and is now back to his old self. I feel headachey, sore eyes, tight chest and tired. Last night I had shivers and sweats. I don't have a burning throat or sinuses which I had last year and I am not coughing. I hope I get it mildly but as the line was faint maybe it means it hasn't properly got going yet.

Wauden · 02/04/2023 17:26

Very tired, brain fog, little coughing. My first covid. Was fully vaccinated. Several people are unwell here.

Wbeezer · 04/04/2023 20:35

Headache and sore muscles for a couple of days, heartburn and indigestion, felt better for a day, now a hint of a cough, a sore Jaw and everything tastes bland or nasty, a bit queasy.
Feel a bit sort of feeble and very emotional ( not helped by feeling bored and lonely trying not to infect everyone else).

Bimblesalong · 06/04/2023 11:20

I’m on day 4 I think. The exhaustion and aches are the worst thing although I’ve felt sick today and have the usual stuffed head and cough.
great! Last had it 18 months ago. Doesn’t feel as bad as that bout which was horrendous but I’m bed bound.

get well soon all.

Wauden · 06/04/2023 14:12

Am still tired and having to return to bed in the daytime.

Luckypoppy · 06/04/2023 14:13

Had it for the 2nd time a month ago. Still feeling pretty dreadful.

AutisticLegoLover · 06/04/2023 14:14

I've gone backwards today. It's so frustrating.

AutisticLegoLover · 07/04/2023 22:19

Does anyone have sore eyes? Like they are really tired and achey? And sore skin? My eyes have been sore on and off but today washing my face was uncomfortable and my skin felt almost wind burnt. My digestive system is really unhappy too but every symptom comes and goes with no logic to it except for the end of day extreme cold and tiredness. Bastard virus.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 08/04/2023 06:19

Now, that is interesting @AutisticLegoLover . I have very dry eyes anyway, and use drops a few times a day. They have been particularly dry and sore in the last few weeks. Particularly after I have been outside for a while. I put it down to cold winter weather, but it could be a hangover from Covid in early Feb.

Bimblesalong · 08/04/2023 09:21

Deep sore muscle and joint aches here. Yes also to dry eyes but I have them anyway. Being indoors isolating for a few days and watching streaming on a tablet hasn’t helped.

Wauden · 08/04/2023 16:15

Am feeling more human today. Hope that everyone feels better soon.

Willmafrockfit · 08/04/2023 17:51

bad throat now a week later,
gone off eggs, so tasteless i guess,

AutisticLegoLover · 10/04/2023 20:14

3 days of feeling almost normal now but the headaches especially first thing and the eye soreness continue. My eyes have been so heavy and tired today. Probably the worst day for my eyes.
Hope everyone is feeling betterFlowers

I tested positive on Sunday and all day Saturday my eyes stung, like I had something constantly in them. I presume it was the covid starting!

xnyl · 13/04/2023 09:24

Day 3 for me, feeling slightly better because my nose is less blocked but still feeling terrible and could not work feeling like this

coffeeschmoffee · 13/04/2023 15:20

Day 3 for me and the cough and fever are hideous :(

Anonymouseposter · 13/04/2023 16:10

I had sore eyes. I didn’t think it was a Covid symptom but apparently there’s a new strain around which is widespread in India and sore eyes and high temperature are the main symptoms
