Any point in getting 2nd child vaccination?

My children (aged 7 and 11) got vaccinated with first Covid jab last spring. We put the second jab off due to holidays, clashing plans and viruses one after another. Is it too late to get the second jab now? Would there be any point?

The autumn/winter round of boosters has just closed, so unless your DC fall in to qualifying clinically vulnerable groups, you will not be able to get another jab in UK.

Spring campaign has yet to be announced, but if it happens it is likely to be only the immune compromised (the 6 jabs group) and a few other highly vulnerable groups. Too soon to be thinking about next autumn/winter campaign

its a second dose that the OP is asking about not a booster, as i believe it, anyone over 5 before last Sept is still eligible to be given their full first course - whether or not there's any point is up to you really, its probably only worth it if you are heading somewhere on hols where they still have requirements about completing the initial course of vaccine.
