Anyone lost their sense of smell/taste

Due to a cold, rather than covid? Mine has completely vanished. I came down with what I thought was flu last week. Sweats, chills, aches, headache, nausea, etc. I also keep getting a 'room spinning' sensation. Then I got a really stuffy, runny nose which has subsided somewhat but can't smell or taste ANYTHING. I don't want it to be covid because last time I had that, my senses didn't return for weeks. 😭

I like the user name 🙂. Just recovering from Covid - had most of the symptoms you describe other than feeling dizzy, though I did feel ‘odd’ and spaced out. Still waiting for my sense of taste and smell to recover, getting odd slight tastes and smells but then it goes again.
