First time with Covid - will it get worse after a few days in?

It finally got me, after 2.5 years - first time I’ve caught it

I’ve had cold-like symptoms for a few days - blocked up nose, sneezing, tickly throat and a bit achy in my legs - but did LFTs Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, which were all negative, so assumed just a nasty cold which I haven’t had for ages. Started a horrible cough in the night, and now showing a strong positive on the LFT

Is it likely that the symptoms will get worse at this point, or just stay at this level? I feel rough but am OK rotating paracetamol, nurofen and benylin, and am managing to work (from home obviously) I have a ridiculously busy couple of weeks though at work and am trying to figure out whether I’ll be able to manage. Anyone able to predict at all?! I can’t decide whether it’s best to cancel the work I’m doing or not

None of us had it particularly badly. Dh worked from home when he had it. The rest of us had it on holiday and again it was like having a cold.

Thanks @dementedpixie it would be good if that were the case!

I’d benefit from a day in bed I think, but would prefer to crack on if I can. I can’t deliver seminars with this cough though; I have three days to see if I can get rid of it…

My household had covid recently and we all had our worst symptoms for 1st 2 days of positive test and then got better quite quickly after that.

Hope you feel better soonFlowers

Thanks @KenCoff that is what I want to hear! I don’t mean to be either impatient or a martyr but I need it to be gone quickly…
