Loss of appetite after covid

I had covid maybe a month ago and felt pretty rubbish. I am feeling much better now but the thought of food pretty much turns my stomach. I don’t really get that hungry, and when I do I don’t have anything that I particularly want to eat, it’s just a process of having to eat instead of enjoying it. When I do have something I feel up really quickly and then feel quite sick and horrible, despite only having had a small amount. I have put all this down to covid and the after effects, but I’m starting to worry slightly as my mother had bowel cancer and I know the feeling full thing and loss of appetite and feeling know how was part of it. I’m reading too much into it right aren’t i? I have no other symptoms at all. Did anyone else suffer from loss of appetite after covid and not fancy food? How long did it last until you felt back to yourself?

I definitely was right off my food both during Covid and for awhile after. It took me some time to get back to eating. I would eat maybe 2 tsp of yoghurt rather than a whole small pot, just couldn't get more down.

Don't put pressure on yourself, just nibble something you fancy, your stomach capacity will slowly increase again. I was a couple of weeks before I could eat a proper evening meal again. Your situation has gone on longer, though, but people are different. Make sure you are drinking enough fluids. Have you lost any smell/taste?
